This etching by Trowbridge, ca. 1907 was in a poor quality, too thin frame. A slightly more substantial, lightly carved water gilt frame was made, and toned to pick up the colors in the etching.

	This is a simply carved arts and crafts style frame. Water gilded and burnished, with a soft patination. Narrow width makes is best for works on paper with glass and mats, but is also effective with smaller size canvas paintings.	Frame with applied composition ornament. Water gilded with 23K gold, heavily rubbed, distressed and toned with casein (painting was rescued from trash).

	This small pastel seascape circa 1890 was in a poor quality, badly damaged Victorian gilt frame. A whole new look when put in a grained frame.
