This etching by Trowbridge, ca. 1907 was in a poor quality, too thin frame. A slightly more substantial, lightly carved water gilt frame was made, and toned to pick up the colors in the etching. |

This is a simply carved arts and crafts style frame. Water gilded and burnished, with a soft patination. Narrow width makes is best for works on paper with glass and mats, but is also effective with smaller size canvas paintings. |
